Elegant Sleeveless Mock Neck Maxi Dress

I'm 5'7" and around 150 lbs and the medium fits perfectly, which basically never happens with maxi dresses. The mock neck isn't tight or scratchy at all, and the sleeveless cut is flattering without showing too much. Fabric has a nice weight to it, not see-through, not stiff. Wore it to a rehearsal dinner and got three compliments before I even sat down. Only thing is it runs a little long, so I'm wearing heels with it. Washed on cold and it held up fine.

I've ordered dresses like this before and usually end up returning them because the material feels like a plastic tablecloth. This one's different. It's soft, drapes nicely, and doesn't cling to my stomach. Fit is true to size, though if you're between sizes I'd go up. It's a bit plain on its own so I add a belt. Wore it to a dinner and felt put together without trying hard. Not the fanciest dress I own, but for the money it's a solid pick. Four stars.

Shipping was quick and it showed up four days early, which was a nice surprise since I ordered it last minute for a work gala. Packaging was nothing special but the dress came out of the bag wrinkle-free. I love how plain it looks in the best way, no weird seams or random cutouts. Dressed it up with a statement necklace and heels, but it would work with sandals too. A coworker asked where I got it and seemed shocked at the price. Definitely my new go-to for events.

Bought this for an outdoor wedding in September and it worked really well. The fabric feels more expensive than what I paid, and it has a bit of stretch so I could actually eat and dance without feeling suffocated. The mock neck stayed put all night. I took off one star because the zipper catches a little near the waist, and the black does attract lint like crazy. But the silhouette is elegant and the length hit right at my ankles in flats. Would buy again in another color.
