Elegant Vintage Velvet Lace Midi Dress

Bought this for my cousin's wedding and honestly it exceeded what I paid. The velvet has a nice weight to it, not thin or shiny-cheap looking, and the lace trim on the sleeves is a pretty detail. I'm 5'4" and got a small — it hits right below mid-calf on me, which I liked. The waist is fitted but there's enough stretch that I could eat dinner comfortably. Got three separate compliments during cocktail hour. Shipping took about a week, arrived folded nicely with no weird smell. Only thing is it wrinkles if you sit too long, so hang it up before you wear it.

The quality is genuinely good for the price — the velvet is soft, the lace doesn't feel scratchy, and the seams are clean. I ordered my usual medium but it was snug through the chest, so I'd size up if you're busty. Colors on my screen matched what arrived, maybe a touch darker, which I actually preferred. Wore it to a dinner date and felt dressed up without looking like I tried too hard. Docked a star just because the zipper sticks a little around the waist seam. Not a dealbreaker, but worth mentioning. Would still recommend it.
